Meet My Fosters Wine, Port & Sherry

I'm fostering a whole cat family through Paws & Claws Cat Rescue in Evanston, IL: Wine, and the two kittens she looked after, Sherry and Port. They'd each do well in a loving home. You can adopt one cat, the two bonded kittens, or all three.

All adoptions are handled by Paws & Claws. Start with the application below.

Meet Wine

Wine is a 3-year-old female who's affectionate and gentle. She loves being petted, bunts her head against your hands when she wants attention, likes chin and rear scratches, and sometimes asks for more with a soft trill. Once she trusts you, she'll roll over and show you her belly. She also looked after Sherry and Port.

At home with me: Wine loves to sit in her mini cat castle, and just as much she loves to flop down on the rug in the middle of the room. She's a real lover who comes to you the second the door opens. She loves attention and will chill in your lap or at your feet, but she's fine on her own too.

Meet Sherry

Sherry is the smallest of the family, a 2-month-old kitten with a squeaky, talkative meow. She's playful rather than a lap cat, and loves wand toys, stuffed mice and crinkly balls. She usually tires herself out and falls asleep purring. She's best friends with Port and sleeps curled up with her. Sherry needs to go home with another cat or to a home that already has one.

At home with me: Sherry is a little troublemaker. She loves to start battles with her sister Port and scamper everywhere at full speed, and sometimes she gets stuck behind things for a second. The other night she made a stunning long-range pounce onto Port.

Meet Port

Port is an energetic 2-month-old kitten who loves to run and wrestle with Sherry. She chases any string or wand toy, is a strong jumper, and loves tunnels and cardboard boxes, which she uses to ambush her sister. Port and Sherry are bonded and must go home together.

At home with me: Port loves to follow Wine around and do that funny sideways hop to look big. She's practicing to be a little huntress and she's a rambunctious little thing. She's also a big eater who loves to snack the second the wet food goes down.
